Fitness bands
Bands are an at home must have for their ease of use, versatility and ability to give you a great workout. They are also a very cost affective way to have resistance training at home. Here is a youtube video demoing a bunch of different exercises you can do. I use them consistently to get an arm pump with bicep curls and tricep extensions. They are also great in helping you get your first pull ups!

Dumbbells
Getting at least one pair of dumbbells can really up your homework out game. They have been a staple of weightlifting for forever. It does not take much to get in an entire full body workout even with a lighter weight. Here Is a good full body dumbbell workout to start with. You can also build your dumbell collection over time. Start with a pair that you can do a lot of exercises with, like these 15's you can get here Later on you can get other weights, buy a rack, or buy adjustable weight dumbbells.
Ab wheel
No fitness routine is complete without core! This little torture device has been around a long time and I go back to it year after year for its simplicity and that it always leaves me sore. It can be a little intimidating on the first attempt because it is difficult. But you can scale how you use it and it really will build your back and abdominal wall. pull up bar
If you want to be strong there is no substitute for being able to move your own weight. For back, shoulders, arms,forearms, lats, you name it the tried and true pull up is the way to go. I know this can also seem like an exercise that is out of reach. All of these pieces allow you to do a lot of different exercises but another thing I like about them is that they are easy to use. They don’t take a lot of technique, you can get started with low risk of injury but still get in serious workouts. If you are just beginning your strength and fitness journey these are the 5 items I would start with.
